Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that returns the search result. Mansfield Residents Directory does not keep its own copy of those search entries. When you email us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Our host records routine server-log details, including an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to operate the service and understand general use. Cookies or related tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Limited Data
We use this limited information to run the site, address technical problems, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to county and state record portals, libraries, archives, and independent search tools. The privacy policy of the destination controls information you submit there, rather than this policy. That includes information entered into a third-party search service.
Who Can Process It
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatically collected information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and not otherwise.
Data Safeguards
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, so we do not hold a password or account profile for you.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code chapter 541, took effect July 1, 2024. For covered controllers and subject to its exemptions, the law gives eligible Texas consumers rights to know or access, correct, and delete personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. A controller generally has 45 days to respond, with a possible additional 45 days, and must provide two free requests in a 12-month period.
A privacy request concerns personal data held by this private site. Because we retain very little, we can check the contact mailbox and relevant logs and remove what we find. Use the Contact Us page to make that request. A correction to an official public record is different: it must go to the office that created or holds the record, such as the Tarrant County Clerk, Tarrant Appraisal District, or another applicable custodian. A private-data request does not erase or amend the custodian's record.
Policy Updates
We will post any revision to this policy here. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
